📑 Access Reports in CoinTracker — What You Can Get & How

1. What Reports CoinTracker Generates

Once you’ve connected your wallets/exchanges and synced all your transactions, CoinTracker can create a variety of reports for portfolio tracking, tax summary, and detailed transaction history. These include:

🔹 Unified Capital Gain/Loss & Income Report
• Combines all taxable events for a year in one view.
• Helps you see total gains, losses, and income at a glance.

🔹 Tax Summary Report (PDF)
• High‑level summary of your total taxable gains and income for a year.
• Good for quickly understanding overall tax obligations.

🔹 Transaction History CSV
• Lists all buys, sells, sends, receives, and transfers for a selected tax year.
• Great for a comprehensive look at your entire activity.

🔹 Capital Gains CSV
• Contains only those transactions that resulted in capital gains or losses.
• Useful for detailed tax reporting or sharing with an accountant.

🔹 Year‑End Balances CSV
• Shows your holdings and their value as of the end of the year.
• Helpful for portfolio‑tracking and tax planning.

🔹 Income Report CSV
• Includes crypto income such as staking rewards, airdrops, mining, interest, etc.

🔹 Derivative Report CSV
• Listings of profits/losses arising from derivative trades.

⚠️ Note: You need a paid CoinTracker plan to access many of these reports. If you see a lock icon next to a report on the Taxes page, you’ll need to purchase or upgrade your plan.

2. How to Locate & Download Reports

Here’s how to find and download your reports step by step:

A. Go to the “Taxes” Page

  1. Log in to your CoinTracker account.
  2. Choose the Taxes section from the main menu.
  3. Select the tax year you want reports for (e.g., 2025).

👉 Tip: Make sure all your wallets/exchanges are synced for that year before generating reports — otherwise totals may be incomplete.

B. Select the Report You Want

  1. Scroll through the list of reports available (PDF summaries, CSVs, derivative reports, etc.).
  2. If it’s a form‑style report (PDF), click Generate.
  3. If it’s a CSV report, click Download.

💡 Generate creates the full tax form and usually emails a copy too, while Download directly saves the CSV to your device.

C. Wait for the Report to Prepare

➡️ Large transaction volumes may take some time — CoinTracker will prepare the file and then download it automatically.

📤 3. Share or Use Your Reports

Once downloaded, you can:

  • ✔ Share them with your tax professional or accountant.
  • ✔ Use them to fill out your tax return in your country.
  • ✔ Keep copies for your financial records.

📝 Quick Tips

🟢 Always double‑check that all wallets & exchanges are imported and synced before downloading reports — missing data leads to incomplete reports.
🟢 If you’re in a country where tax forms aren’t automatically supported, use the CSV reports to prepare filings manually.
🟢 If some reports are locked, check that you’re on the correct tax year and that your plan covers that year.
